Ladies and gentlemen of London, something excellent has happened. Fitness Freak have decided to bring back their 90′s Rave! So, whether you missed it the first time or you want to go back for more, your time is now. The pop-up rave is a collaboration between Fitness-Freak.com (awesome first ever UK online discovery and booking website for the best fitness classes in London) and city powerhouse Time Out Live and is a ridiculously fun cardio and conditioning workout.
I had the pleasure of going to the first rave held back in June and it was absolutely amazing. When it comes to dance workouts I am a pretty tough cookie to crack – I am not a fan. I am also not a fan of dressing up or large crowds so I will admit I was a little apprehensive before I went. I ended up right at the very front and felt pretty self conscious about the fact that I was on my own (turns out most people had come in groups!) and there were millions of people behind me. It took all of about five minutes before I was grinning my little face off, bouncing around and following the moves like I was BORN TO RAVE. The music’s good, the instructors are good, the class is good, the dancing is good, the vibe is good…I had a ball. It was absolutely brilliant fun and I was pretty damn knackered at the end (Shara does not joke in the squat section) – I’d recommend it to party goers and fitness lovers alike, and if you’re both, you’re on to a real winner.
The Fitness Freak Rave is returning on September 17th and 18th – two sessions on each day. Last time tickets for all four sessions sold out pretty damn fast so if you’re interested I’d snap them up quickly. You won’t regret it, especially as the return of the Rave promises to be bigger and better than the first time around! The rave is taking place in the Camden Centre (opposite Kings Cross Tube) at 6:30 and 8:00 each day and they last for an hour. You can buy tickets and find all the info over on the Fitness Freak site!
