Sweaty Betty A/W13

Last week I went along to the press preview of the Sweaty Betty A/w 13 collection and I got very excited indeed. It’s classic Sweaty Betty – high quality, feminine designs and clever details – with new added extras. The yoga wear has got a tech fabric upgrade and the spa/cool down range is even comfier and cosier than before. A huge range of sports are catered for – running, yoga, swimming, dance, pilates, cycling, ski and snowboard for a start.

SB designers were on hand to talk us through the collection. Every season/collection has a theme – the current collection is influenced by the beach and ocean, which I think is clear from the driftwood colours and awesome ombre designs in the shops at the moment. Next season’s theme?

Cosmic prints, deep purple and star scattered fabrics all makes an appearance in next season’s gear (available from July) and the vision as a whole is seriously cool.

Some of my favourites…

Matching cosmic capri and crop top yoga set. Also reversible, so you can choose to be all over cosmic with a hint of black, or all over black with a hint of cosmic. Now in tech fabric, so you could wear them running too!

Matching vest and shorts in a jazzy print with popping fluro binding. I love the cute back detail, but if you’re more of a plain and practical vest girl SB are releasing the athlete vest in several prints, including this one!

These are dance bottoms but would also be perfect cosy pants to slip on post run, post gym or just all the time you aren’t socially obliged to not wear sweatpants. I love the deep waistband and stirrup ankles.

One of my favourites. This is a loose jumper in tech fabric, with a wide neck but tight waistband so it stays put on the run. I love the relaxed style made practical and the contrast of the fluro/marl. Roll on July so I can have this in my life.
