Protect Your Knees – Shorten Your Stride

Knee injuries are the most common affliction for runners. It’s the most complex joint in the body, and is very prone to injury following the stresses and strains of the miles we put ourselves through.

Although it goes against the grain (longer stride = less effort/more ground covered), shortening your stride may be the best change you can make to your running style. By shortening your stride just a few inches, you can stabilise your centre of gravity and reduce the pressure on your knees.
